  • Snail racing

    21st September 2015

During our pack night, we had some friends come to visit us. Some were faster than others and despite what the pictures show, no snails were harmed during the evening.

  • Cubs Incident Hike

    28th March 2015

Medway Towns District organised a fantastic Cubs Activity Day. Over 140 Cubs took part, working together in teams of six. We entered 2 teams.

The Cubs enjoyed a range of activities including fire lighting, woggle making, mini pioneering, orienteering, first aid, carry the bomb, puzzle box & spiders web. The teams had to navigate their way around Buckmore Park using a map so it was a great mix of traditional Scouting Skills alongside teamwork puzzles & challenges.

Both our teams performed brilliantly finishing in 2nd place (medal winners) & 4th place out of 24 teams. Most importantly all the Cubs had a very challenging and fun filled day!

  • Champions League Football

    14th March 2015

13 Cubs, 1 Scout and 1 Beaver from 24th set off in a minibus to the Amex Football Stadium in Brighton to watch a Championship League Football match.

We arrived at the school shelf seating to find that we had each been given giant foam fingers, so that was the afternoons entertainment sorted. The match was exciting, 2 yellow cards, the first goal was offside and 2 further goals resulting in a 1 all draw. We all agreed that Brighton did well to hold Wolves to a draw.

On the way home we called into a McDonalds in Sussex for supper. Many muffins, milk shakes & McFlurries were consumed!

A top day out for the Cubs & a safe, controlled way to experience the thrill of Championship league football.

  • District Fizz and Quiz

    21st February 2015

    Brilliant news!

Our team came 1st in the annual District Fizz and Quiz.

After passing a uniform inspection they answered lots of challenging questions on subjects including scouting, general knowledge, geography, sport, TV & films and a local knowledge picture round to complete. Large quantities of fizzy pop, crisps & biscuits were also consumed.

The Cubs all had a really good time and were delighted to win medals and reclaim the winners trophy!

  • Invicta Arachnids

    7th October 2014

We were lucky (or unlucky depending on how you feel) to have a visit from invicta arachnids on our pack night. The Cubs loved our visitors

The leaders - lack of photographic evidence suggests they stayed firmly behind the camera!
